Bubble Up's New Packaging Bursts Onto International Grocery Shelves
released: Sep 10, 2008Object 9 was recently awarded the challenge of redesigning the packaging for Bubble Up®, Monarch Beverage’s flagship lemon lime brand. As sales of lemon lime and flavored beverages experience a worldwide resurgence, Bubble Up’s updated packaging is successfully competing with other brands in the countries where it is sold including Pakistan, Mali and parts of Africa. Because the beverage’s existing packaging is recognized as a household name overseas, Object 9’s package redesign focuses on maintaining the beverage’s brand equity while creating a stronger shelf presence.
Object 9 also carried Bubble Up’s new look through the entire line extension, which includes the traditional lemon lime flavor as well as the recently introduced diet lemon lime, bitter lemon and orange varieties. By developing a more modern, vibrant and crisp label, the Bubble Up brand will continue to appeal to its current consumer base while simultaneously attracting new patrons. “Bubble Up’s new packaging reflects the look of traditional Western carbonated beverages which increases the brand’s appeal in a crowded market place,” said Andy Gutowski, Object 9’s creative director and partner. “We also included images of fruit to cut through the language barrier and accurately represent each beverage flavor.” Click to view new Bubble Up packaging.
