Object 9 Named Client Provider of the Year for their Commitment to Local Start-Ups

Object 9 was named Client Provider of the Year at The Louisiana Business and Technology Center’s (LBTC) 19th anniversary and graduation ceremony.

For the second consecutive year, Object 9 donated $10,000 in marketing, design and public relations services to the winner of the New Venture Business Plan Competition. Sponsored by the LBTC, Greater Baton Rouge Business Report and E.J. Ourso College of Business, the business plan competition provides a forum in which qualifying participants present their ideas to win prizes to help start their business ventures. The competition also encourages students and individuals to pursue entrepreneurial aspirations and develop high-growth businesses.

The winner of the 2007 competition, BioFluidica, has plans to develop a working prototype in early 2008 that will be capable of offering on-the-scene DNA testing for paternity and forensics. Object 9 is currently working with Engensus Engineering and Consulting, winner of the 2006 New Venture Business Plan competition. The firm recently created several start-up marketing tools for Engensus that included a new logo, Web site, stationary items, public relations plan and media kit, and PowerPoint and proposal templates.
